OVERVIEW
There are multiple ways to add videos to the platform, and they can be utilized in multiple areas of the platform to suit a multitude of needs. The preferred and quickest method is to add a YouTube or Vimeo URL.

If there's a short intro or other video that you want to record, that can be done on the platform as well. Finally, if you do not have a YouTube or Vimeo channel, you can upload existing videos. These convert to Vimeo videos on the Platform, which is another reason why we recommend having your own YouTube or Vimeo account.

ADD INTRO VIDEO TO COURSE

Creators, Instructors and Admins, for example, can embed, record or upload introduction videos for their courses. Intro videos can be seen in 2 distinct areas once recorded: the marketing page and as the first thing that participants see once they start a course.

  • As seen in the first screenshot below, this feature can be found in the 'Settings' tab of any course builder.

  • The second screenshot shows adding a YouTube or Vimeo link to save for the intro video.

  • The third screenshot below shows how to remove a video once placed.

  1. Add Intro Video in Course Settings

Adding a YouTube or Vimeo link for example:

  1. Click the Embed Video option

  2. Add a URL and Click Save

  1. Click the 'Remove' button to remove any Intro Video

ADD VIDEO TO COURSE STEP

Course editors can also add video blocks to any step in a course as seen in this video below. The steps to do this are exactly the same as adding a video to the course.

RECORDING VIDEO TIPS: We recommend that you test a short video snippet on your web or mobile app before recording anything of length (more than two minutes). Also, if your internet speed is not fast, or you have any issues with this test you can record a video outside of the apps and easily upload them using the same tool. Here are some links to help you record your video in this manner:
