Overview

Course editors can embed external content, using website URLs and HTML or Javascript Embed Codes, to make their courses more interactive and informative. Instead of redirecting learners to external sites, embedding content allows for a seamless experience. This ensures that course participants remain within the course environment, reducing distractions and enhancing focus.

Note: Certain websites will not allow their content to be embedded on another site as either a Website URL or HTML embed.

Embedding HTML/Javascript

  1. Go to the course editor in any course.

  2. Click the plus '+' icon to add a content block.

  3. Select the 'Embed' content block option.

  4. Paste your HTML or Javascript code into the 'Embed Code' textbox.

    • Note: Ensure your code is well-formed and error-free to avoid any functionality or display issues.

  5. Add a title if desired.

  6. Adjusting the Content Block Height:

    • By default, the height of the content block will be set to 600 pixels.

    • If you want to adjust the height, input the desired height value in pixels into the 'Height' field.

    • Ensure the height is sufficient to display your content without cutting it off or creating unnecessary white space.

  7. Confirm your changes by clicking the 'Save' button.
