Learn all the places to join a Live Video Session

Overview

Live Video sessions can be setup natively with Zoom, or through links for any other video platform, all with notifications and calendar syncing capabilities. Both Admins, Instructors and Learners can join any live virtual event that they have permission to join.

Joining a Native Zoom Session

As a participant, admin or instructor, you can join a Live Video Chat up to 15 minutes before it is scheduled to go live.

  1. Participants join with a ‘Join Live Video’ button.

  2. Admins and Instructors see a 'Join as Host' button.

Where to join Zoom Sessions

  • In the course step.

  • In the learner 'Activity Feed' when active.

  • Admins can also access their 'Activity & Calendar' Page when available

    • Note: This is an A La Carte feature

  • In the 'Up Next' feed (when enabled).

  • In the Homepage Calendar Timeline (when enabled)

  • Join a Live Video from an Email Notification reminder

  • Join from Email - admin view

  • Join from a web notification

Joining a Live Video Session with other Tools (Teams, Meet, etc.)

Accessing a Live Video Session with another tool has similar functionality to the native Zoom setup, it is just scheduled differently on the admin end.

  1. Go to the live event block in one of the areas mentioned above.

  2. Click the link for the event in the description box

    1. Note: the admin will have had to set this up in the manner for this to work.
