Overview
Steps are the individual containers for your course material. This can include: exercises, practices, activities or simple reflections.
Steps are modular and flexible and are laid out in a clean timeline on the left side of any course outline.
They can be created as individual steps, or within sections in any course.
Each one can house a variety content blocks, with a range of settings like dripping content, time stamping how long a step will take and others.
How to create a step
Go to the course editor for any course by clicking on a course image from the homepage.
Navigate to the left hand timeline and click the 'Add Step' button.
If you have sections, any step can be dragged into that section.
To add a step from a section, hover over the section then click the 3 dot menu and click the 'add step' option.
Step Reminders and Required/Optional Toggle
Steps have dynamic and elastic reminders, that we call supportive nudges (see Article on Reminders)
Steps can be required (or forced to complete in order to move onto the next step) Or optional - not required and open to take at any point.
