Learner's Interaction with Saige Coach

When learners encounter a prompt with a text input option, they see:

  • Before responding: A profile picture and the message "Complete your response to chat with your coach."

  • If multiple response types are available: Selecting a non-text option will display "Saige is only available on a text response."

Chat Flow:

  1. Once a learner submits their text response, Saige begins typing, indicated by a message: "Saige is typing..." This transitions into a concise version of Saige's response.

  2. Learners can click the Chat with Saige button to open a full conversation.

  3. During the conversation:

    • Saige focuses on coaching, steering away from direct advice.

    • After five messages, Saige encourages learners toward actionable steps.

    • Learners receive an email summary of their conversations with Saige for continued supportive nudging and easy access to that chat with Saige.
