Learner's Interaction with Saige Coach
When learners encounter a prompt with a text input option, they see:
Before responding: A profile picture and the message "Complete your response to chat with your coach."
If multiple response types are available: Selecting a non-text option will display "Saige is only available on a text response."
Chat Flow:
Once a learner submits their text response, Saige begins typing, indicated by a message: "Saige is typing..." This transitions into a concise version of Saige's response.
Learners can click the Chat with Saige button to open a full conversation.
During the conversation:
Saige focuses on coaching, steering away from direct advice.
After five messages, Saige encourages learners toward actionable steps.
Learners receive an email summary of their conversations with Saige for continued supportive nudging and easy access to that chat with Saige.
