Step 1: Navigate to the Profile Page - Once you’re logged into your account, locate your profile image in the upper right corner of your top menu bar. The image will default to the first letter of your profile name unless you use a third party single sign on like Gmail:
Note: If you sign up with Gmail (or another 3rd party single sign on tool), and the email account you used to register has an image associated with it, the system will automatically pick it up and set it as your profile picture by default.
Step 1b: To edit the profile, click on the drop down arrow next to the profile image, to expand the navigation bar. Select profile to load the profile page.
On the left of the profile page, you can edit your image, location, and interests. On the right is the ‘My Path’ section where you can add events, dreams, achievements, and much more.
Below that is a calendar ‘My Work’ that acts as a journal, keeping track of the actions you take while logged in on the platform. More on these features below.
Step 2: Upload a Profile Picture - To upload (or change) a profile picture, select the camera icon on the profile picture section. In the pop-up window that appears, choose one of the sources to find and upload the profile picture that best represents you.
Step 3: Edit Your Narrative Path - In order to edit what people will see under your Narrative Path, you can either hover over any path selection, and edit right from the path itself, or you can select the green “Edit” button in the top right corner of the “My Path” Box (to access additional edit options).
This will bring you to a screen with several informational categories that you can add or remove as needed.
Example: To “Add A Job”, select the blue highlighted text or the “+”. Fill in the information and save.
Note: None of your changes in this section will be saved without clicking the green “SAVE” button right under your changes.
Once you are done editing this area select “I’m Done Editing” in the right top corner of this section. This will take you back to the version of your profile others will see.
Step 4: Deleting an Entry from Your Path - There are two ways to remove an entry.
- Select “Edit” in the upper right corner.
- Select the entry you want to edit by hovering over the words
- Click the “pencil” icon
- Make an update
Click ‘SAVE’ or select ‘Remove’ to delete this entry from your profile altogether.
- Hover over the text
- Select the “x” to the right of the entry. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
You can always add a new entry later if you accidentally delete it, however, the system will not have the old information saved.
Step 5: Just below ‘My Path’ is the ‘My Work’ section. This area operates as a calendar heatmap that automatically updates all of the exercises, activities, assignments, and reflections that you do on Dream See Do. The calendar adjusts on a color gradient based on how much has been completed daily (as noted in the legend below the calendar).
*Notice how August 6th shows light green and August 18th shows dark green. If you were to hover over each date the number of activities completed that day shows. In the box above 1 activity was completed on August 6th and 3 activities on August 18th.
As a blended learning platform (both online self-paced, and in-person/live video), you can also add in activities that were not completed on the platform, by clicking the “+ Add Journal Entry” button right below the calendars.
Fill in the Journal Entry based on the information requested and ‘Save’. Once you save, your entry will be added as an activity for the day. If you hover over the date of the new recorded activity you just added, you’ll realize that the activity count will be higher.
Step 6: Deleting Manual Journal Entries – You can delete any manual journal entry that you add. Just hover over any word in the activity and click on the trashcan that appears on the right to delete. You will be asked to confirm if you would like to delete the entry. You can always go back and add an entry for a completed task on any day. While you can delete manual entries, you can’t delete or edit automatic entries for tasks completed on the Dream See Do platform.
Fun Fact: The three buttons below the calendar and above activities work as filters. If you want to see all your activities, you would select ‘All’. To see activities assigned to your portfolio or those suggested by someone else on the platform choose the appropriate option.
